The Family and Independent Owners Meeting is designed for the senior executives, owners and family members who are directly involved in their company’s operations.  The meeting provides these executives the opportunity to network and share successful strategies to move their business forward.  From issues related to basic operations, business structures or familial transitions, the Family and Independent Owners Meeting fosters a spirit of partnership and innovation.

This meeting is intended for owners and family members directly involved in the newspaper organization of independently owned newspapers.  The C-Suite/Senior Executive/Publisher of these newspapers can also be appointed to attend by the organization’s owner to represent the company.

The 2023 Summer Meeting will be held at the PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — home of the Pittsburgh Pirates!   Sessions will begin Tuesday, July 18, at 2 p.m. EDT, followed by a reception and Pirates baseball game that evening.   On Wednesday, July 19, sessions will run from 9 a.m to 12:30 p.m., followed by an optional Pirates game that afternoon.

Tuesday, July 18 (all times EDT)

2-5 p.m. Sessions for Family & Independent Owners
5-7 p.m. Reception
7:05 p.m. Pittsburgh Pirates Game


Wednesday, July 19 (all times EDT)

9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Sessions for Family & Independent Owners
12:35 p.m. Optional: Lunch and Pirates Game


When you register, pre-register for the Family & Independent Owners meeting in Chicago, Oct. 6-7 and save!  Register for both the Pittsburgh and Chicago meetings for only $350, a total savings of $75.
